Painters, particularly great painters, don't see things the way the rest of us do and, for the most part, don't see things the way the camera sees them. We developed this section while working with our Affiliates, setting our photographs side by side with paintings of the same subject by some great artists and some very good artists.

Because of the large number of images, we've divided this section into five parts, so that it will load a bit faster than if we had put all of the pictures on one page. However, it may still load slowly. Please be patient.
